男と女をテーマにした展覧会だったので森村泰昌のセルフポートレートシリーズから1995年の「Mのセルフポートレート No.56/B（あるいはマリリン・モンローとしての私）」と2007年の「なにものかへのレクイエム（宙の夢/アルベルト1）」を合成。さまざまなパターンで検証していたところ、偶然、角度が同じな事に気がつき、本人の了承を得て作品に手を加える大胆な案が実現した。

This work was for an exhibition “MORIMURA YASUMASA – A REQUIEM” at Toyota Municipal Museum of Art. This exhibition’s theme is man and woman, so we designed an image combined [M’s self-portrait No.56/B (or “as Marilyn Monroe”)(1995)] with [A Requiem: Dream of Universe / Albert 1(2007)] from Mr. Yasumasa Morimura’s artwork ‘self portrait’. we were trying to validate a variety of patterns, by chance, we noticed that face’s angle is the same. And we were able to achieve a bold plan adding a hand to the artist’s work, obtained his approval.
